Verlag S. Fischer, Frankfurt - Regine Eckel Synopsis UNTER HAUSEN Unter Hausen is a portrait of the city of Oberhausen, located in the
middle of Germany's coal belt. Filmed and conceived during a jury activity
at the Oberhausen Short Film Festival, the documentary experiment attempts
to penetrate deeply into the place, between past and present, between
hip festival visitors from all over the world and the partly disillusioned
population, for whom the structural change after deindustrialization only
works to a limited extent.
